Prosopagnosia, a project that explores the pathology of memory to remember faces, is based on the historical photographic archive of a local Spanish newspaper from the 1930´s, dedicated to public figures of the time. This collection of faces, with its rich historical significance, is the starting point for an algorithm called G.A.N (Generative Adversarial Network). This AI marvel develops a process of automatic generation of new faces and photo-realistic images of people who do not exist. The resulting images are photographically convincing, but the pages of the book also show the respectful sequence of failed attempts that serve as a reference for the review of some of the essential milestones in the history of art
